Michael Richmond has been a tremendous resource to our program, but the truth is that his role has been a modest part of the success of our program.  One of the most important and most valuable aspects of this program has been improperly maligned.  Frankly, who could criticize fielding a national team of trained auditors who follow a uniform review for environmental compliance?  You may as well criticize the electric company for training workers to maintain the power system.

It would be better to question why the environmental program is failing in America rather than happily assaulting the competition to gain market share.  Green Business League has been guided by attorney advice and regularly reviewed by a certified accounting firm.  Care has been taken to address every issue forthrightly and intelligently.  Those who know us would support our diligence.

While some criticize the training of consultants, they do the very same thing.  While they criticize the independent auditing process, they claim to audit their members using product sales people.  While claiming to celebrate environmental change, they take an active role in the destruction of their perceived competition.

The public should respond to such bias with the same indignation that they would if they were being attacked for doing a noble task.  Attacking a rival for the purpose of stealing their hard earned business is not a community service, but a sign of small-mindedness.

The Green Business League is expanding its board of advisers with quality people who will add value to the tremendous work that has alrady been started.  There is no intention of walking away from the challenge that we all face as the environment is under even greater threat than we have ever faced.  We invite those who believe in doing more than fighting their allies to join Green Business League in a battle worthy of each of us regardless of the failures that may exist in the past.  The future that we face presents the greatest threat to our way of life, and attacking those who should be our allies is wrong in any battle. Green Business League will continue to be dedicated to audited business certifications which is the only standard of credible achievement.
