GREEN BUSINESS LEAGUE

Let's start out with a definition.  The Certified Green Consultant is a career choice that allows a trained professional to assist any kind of business to achieve a Certified Green Business status.  Unlike the LEED AP, the Certified Green Consultant is not focused on the building construction, but the business operation.  The focus is on what we call "Green Practices." 

Believing that the environmental issues is "A Universal Problem that requires Universal Participation," the Green Business League promotes a process of adoption of Green Practices that allows any business of any size to accumulate Green Points that lead to a earned Green Business Certification.

The Certified Sustainability Officer is the trained in-house Green professional now required under Executive Order 13514.  This person works with his/her employer to create a sustainability plan that will guide the company to earn its Green Business Certification.  More Information ...

How to Grow a Green Business

The wrong way to grow a Green business is by a piecemeal approach of most businesses.  This leads to an unbalanced and uncertain credibility in the marketpalce.  Green business certification must come from a professionally-guided process and the creation of a legitimate Sustainability Plan.  This is the expectation laid out in Executive Order 131514 which sets the standard for the world to follow.

Any business aspiring to earn a Green credential that can be respected should consider the two options offered above.  Seek the assistance of a Certified Green Consultant or train an employee as a Certified Sustainability Officer.  Either trained professional has the ability to assess the present Green status of a business and provide a detailed plan to leads the company to an earned certification as a Green business.
