GREEN BUSINESS LEAGUE

Balimore, MD - Green Certification: When most people think of becoming “Green” and contributing meaningfully to the health of the environment, they think of large companies such as Dow Chemical, Walmart and so on. But, obviously MKCREATIVE, LLC has proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that even small companies can meaningfully contribute.

Headed by Marco Kathuria, MKCREATIVE is the newest local firm to earn the national “Green” certification of the Green Business League, the leader in establishing a national standard for “Green” business practices.  Jean Cozzolino of Greener Perspectives was the Certified Green Consultant who independently audited MKCREATIVE’S facility and practices. While she was not surprised to identify all of the Green initiatives MKCREATIVE had undertaken, she was clearly surprised by the magnitude of their commitment.

Mr. Kathria takes great pride in his primary objective of advancing social change by helping organizations, both large and small, communicate more effectively. In Mr. Kathuria’s own words “Our mission is to help our clients create positive change through the strategic use of graphic design, marketing and public relations.”  And, it is clear that he performs his daily activities in a very environmentally-responsible manner.

From simple activities such as duplex printing, using motion detectors for his CFL bulbs, only using the most energy efficient computers and monitors, to internet communication for client demonstrations and use of virtual contractors to buying “Green”–only electric power, MKCREATIVE is serious about doing what it can to help our planet. In fact, they recycle all ink/toner cartridges,  use smaller sized business cards printed on recycled paper with soy inks, and have even introduced greener cleaning products into their daily activities.

In an overview, MKCREATIVE and Marco Kathuria are truly passionate about doing the right thing… both for his clients and for the environment. In fact, Mr. Kathuria would like to personally challenge the multitude of other small companies in our area to also perform in a socially-responsible manner. But remember, MKCREATIVE has done more than just “say” they are “Green”, they were independently evaluated by a Certified Green Consultant and earned their national certification. Are you willing to take that same test?  Mr. Kathuria sure hopes so.
