Grand Rapids Green Certification: Could the Green movement thrive in the austere halls of a federal building and courthouse?  The Gerald R Ford Federal building and courthouse recently earned the titanium level for its Green business certification, which was no small accomplishment.  Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Gerald R Ford Federal Building has been constantly upgrading its operation with numerous Green practices.

Green Certification: Earning a Gold level certification as a Green business is no small task.  The fact that this Green Certification was earned by a oil changing service is even more remarkable.  Some might think that a lube service is an unlikely candidate to be considered as a Green certified business; but it must be remembered that everyone must contribute to the environmental issue, and no one is exempt from the process. 

The Green Clean Institute is presently the largest Green certification organization for janitorial firms.  More than 1500 people and firms have gone through the GCI certification program.  This program, like the Green Business League, is an earned certification process requiring a study program and exams by the staff of the firm in order to obtain this prestigious certification.

Green Certification: Advanced Lighting Systems, LLC is a young company that stands on the cutting edge of an enourmous Green market.  Advanced Lighting Systems (ALS) is the distributor of LED and induction lighting systems.  These new lights are the future of efficient installations that will certainly replace the somewhat troublesome CFL bulbs.
