GREEN BUSINESS LEAGUE

It always happens that we get calls just a week after a major class from a person seeking to attend the Green Consulting classes.  This is a powerful and exciting training course that will propel any excited person into a business that is already happening.  So, here's the final notice that the classes are very near,a nd its time to get connected.

Green Real Estate Education has been working with the Green Business League to create green education courses online. We expect these online courses to spread like wildfire through universities, colleges, workforce programs, and adult education programs.

It was quite an adventure to visit Cartagena, Columbia, but it was very worth the trip in many ways.  I was the guest of Walter Staudinger and stayed at his beautiful villa/townhome inside the walled city of Cartagena.  This 600 year-old city is said to be the oldest preserved city in South America.  Everywhere you look is a contrast of modern elements within traditional Columbian culture.

Kurt Morrow and I were recently invited to a private business event in Cartagena, Columbia where we stayed at Water Staudinger's extraordinary home in the 600 year-old, walled city of Cartagena, Columbia.  This is was a working event, but of course, you cannot ignore the opportunities to get out and see this historic and amazing city.  The roads are narrow and the people are friendly. 

Team Horner has "Gone Green" as an operation and by introducing some of the most energy efficient pool accessories found anywhere.  Owner Bill Kent proudly took Kurt Morrow (GBL Green Consultant) and myself through an extensive tour of his expansive facility.  Bill took great pride in the workers in his operation and the progress made by this amazing operation.  Team Horner has numerous service centers throughout Florida, the United States, and world wide. 

The Green Business League is launching its Green Agency program that will solidify its primacy as the leader of Green business certification.  This invitation-only program is scheduled for Jan 14-15 in Miami Beach, FL bringing the best in leadership to the Green certification industry.

How will the standard for Green be established?  Of course, there are hundreds of firms hoping to become the standard that others will follow.  But, here's a few questions about the national power of a Green certification:

The Sustainable Forum is the next evolution for the Green Business League.  It seems very clear that a sustainability officer will be needed in every business, regardless of size.  Companies seeking Green business certification and success as a sustainable business will need to train an in-house sustainability office to handle what is certain to be a major part of any business' future.

Does a company with a Green product automatically become a Green business?  No, just as owning a dog does not make a person into a dog lover.  EcoStrip is a operation in Ste, CA that has a passion about saving energy.  I do not refer to just any kind of energy.  We are talking about "Phantom Energy."  Phantom energy is the power being drawn by equipment in the off or idle mode.
