GREEN BUSINESS LEAGUE

Earning a Gold level certification as a Green business is no small task.  The fact that this Green Certification was earned by a oil changing service is even more remarkable.  Some might think that a lube service is an unlikely candidate to be considered as a Green certified business; but it must be remembered that everyone must contribute to the environmental issue, and no one is exempt from the process. 

The Green Clean Institute is presently the largest Green certification ogranization for janitorial firms.  More than 1500 people and firms have gone through the GCI certification program.  This program, like the Green Business League, is an earned certification process requiring a study program and exams by the staff of the firm in order to obtain this prestigious certification.

Leadership is the ability to step out even though others are hesitating.  The Green Business League is happy to welcome the very first Chamber of Commerce as a Certified Green Business.  Not only has the Greater Regional Sanford Chamber of Commerce earned a Green certification, but has achieved the Gold status in the first assessment.  What most will find interesting is the level of commitment made by the chamber to achieve this Green certification.

Advanced Lighting Systems, LLC is a young company that stands on the cutting edge of an enourmous Green market.  Advanced Lighting Systems (ALS) is the distributor of LED and induction lighting systems.  These new lights are the future of efficient installations that will certainly replace the somewhat troublesome CFL bulbs.

O'Brien and Levine Court Reporting has been in business for 30 years.  Most would not think of a court reporting service as a Green kind of business, but they would be wrong.  O'Brien & Levine have recently earned their Green Business League Green business certification by installing and improving the operation of their office.

The Green Business League has recently shown its dedication and prowess as the only company to hold the federal trademark for Certified Green Consultant.  In the past, others have sought to exploit this designation by offering training merely masking a program that trained their followers to sell products.   These are the kind of multi-level programs that are all too familiar and not consistent with a true consultant role.

We have long argued that a simple look at the ethics of a Green business requires more than a "Front side Greening" while leaving the other parts of the daily operation to fumble along in a careless manner.  Going Green is a holistic project that looks at more than a few niche areas like energy, recycled trash, or installing CFL bulbs.  There are literally hundreds of ways that a company can and should Go Green.  One of those ways
